The Old Testament is as much the word of God as the New Testament. The Old Testament helps us understand the New Testament. God's grace for humanity is seen throughout the Old Testament. Old Testament people and stories serve as examples for believers today. The Old Testament helps us recognize God's actions. Making the effort to read and study the Old Testament produces great fruit in our lives. In the many stories, poems, prophecies, songs, prayers, wisdom and instructions of the Old Testament, we see the way God relates to humanity, both his people in particular and the nation in general.
What is Man? // Anthropology
Man is the centerpiece of God’s creation, and the focal point of redemption. Who are we, that we play such a pivotal role in the grand scheme of this vast universe? What was God’s Master Plan for the sons of Adam that so much time and attention is placed on us, a creation that was created a little lower than the angels? What is hidden in man’s destiny that we’re the ones that God crowned with “His Glory and Honor”? Did God plan something so magnificent for us, that it demanded all of hell’s attention and concentrated efforts to derail? If “We” are the center of controversy in the heavens’, are we missing the bigger picture? This course will uncover the “mystery that has been kept hidden through the ages” Col.1:26.

It’s not that history in and of itself is corrupt, but that the story it tells of human beings, always succumbs to the flesh instead of rising up to be led by the Spirit of God. As such we can learn the potential error of our ways by looking into the mirror of human history and noting the detours with their corresponding attitudes and decisions that contributed to the slippery slide of Luke warmness into the frigid waters of religion. We will examine where the church went wrong and how the Spirit of God led those hungry for the truth back onto a path of renewal and revival. In this we will study the lives of amazing people like John Wycliffe, John Hus, Martin Luther, John Wesley, George Whitfield and Charles Finney just to name a few who dared to push back against the deadness of religion and reignited the fires of revival.

This course is to lay down the foundations of how to actually start hearing and operating in the realm of the Holy Spirit. This is a fascinating subject that takes us from the realm of the natural to the realm of the supernatural. We will be laying down baby steps the same way Jesus did with his disciples and teach you line upon line how to build your spirit and develop the ability to hear in the spirit and see in the spirit.
